There are some 55 cottages in the hamlet of Bisterne. From time to time, the Estate foresees a vacancy and will seek longer-term tenants who will both enjoy and contribute to the community.

Living at Bisterne

It’s a friendly place and most of the village know each other. Tenants on the Estate are welcome to join in the various Village, Church or public events. We have an annual farm walk, the Manor Garden is opened to the public, a famous Scarecrow competition, quiz nights, a Barn Dance and many church activities, including the occasional Bisterne Talks involving famous people.

The Stable Family Home Trust, which operates from the old Stables right next to the manor, has a lively social calendar for everyone to enjoy.
